Did you know, here at Revolve ReCYCLING we`re not only doing our part for the environment by keeping bikes out of landfill, we`re also passionate about bike equity.
Bike equity means every kid gets access to a good quality bike. Itโs about making sure that no matter where a child lives or what their background is, they can ride a bike thatโs reliable and fun. With bike equity, we focus on giving every kid the chance to experience the freedom and joy that comes with having a top-notch bike.
So far, we`ve donated 1000+ bikes to kids in need across Australia through the Revolve ReCYCLING Foundation.
But it`s not without help of individuals and businesses who want to contribute to making a difference! We rely on donations to help us collect and restore the bikes - and that`s why every $$ counts!
๐ $80 will pay for the collection and restoration of one bike for a child in need.
๐ $160 will pay for two bikes to be donated to two children.
๐ $10 or $25 will help pay for parts to restore the bikes, such as tyres or brakes.

Once a month, on a Saturday morning you can bring your bike to Saturday Circle at the Randwick Sustainability Hub to have our skilled bike mechanics check and tune your bike for free - in your 15min slot! Plus, we`ll also accept unwanted bikes on the day.

๐ดโโ๏ธ Every year in NSW, around 100,000 bikes are left unused or unwanted. Thanks to a fantastic supply chain partnership between Revolve ReCYCLING and Sims Metal Australia, many of these bikes are now being recycled! โป๏ธ
Revolve ReCYCLING collects bikes from households, drop-off sites, and local government events across Sydney. At our Alexandria facility, over 11,000 bikes have been expertly triaged by our mechanics to determine which can be refurbished and which need recycling.
Bikes that are recycled are transported to Sims metal @simsmmw, Australia`s largest metal recycler. Sims Metal are a leading circular business that operates in line with the waste hierarchy. They smelt the aluminium and steel from bike frames into ingots used for new metal products.
We are incredibly grateful to Sims Metal for their support and commitment to sustainability. Together, we`re making a difference! ๐
