As we reflect on 2024, we’re proud of the incredible impact we’ve made here at Revolve ReCYCLING.
Together, with the help of our partners, volunteers, community members & followers, we’ve accomplished:
🚲 5,000 bikes (or 70 tons) of reusable resources diverted from landfill annually
🌍 192 tons of CO₂ emissions avoided through redeploying 2,000 bikes annually
🎁 500 kids’ bikes distributed to children who previously had no access to bikes
💼 Providing employment to 18 people (including disadvantaged individuals)
🤝 Partnering with 28 councils for bike collection and servicing
♻️ Supporting 250 bike shops across NSW with waste management solutions
Our vision for 2025 is ambitious, but it’s for a great cause:
✨ Grow the Green Wheels movement by engaging even more bike shops
✨ Develop a“Bike Swap Event” into a must-attend bi-annual event for Sydneysiders
✨ Expand partnerships with councils to increase bike collections
✨ Build the market for pre-loved bikes through strategic partnerships and new shop fronts
✨ Establish a fully-fledged foundation to advance bike equity
This progress is a testament to the dedication of our team, volunteers, and everyone who has rallied behind our mission. By working together, we’re transforming the way communities connect with cycling, making it more accessible, sustainable, and impactful for all.
