ReCYCLISTS of the month are Northern Beaches residents. Collectively they dropped off more than 200 bikes at the councils drop off event today. THANK YOU.
Hopefully it inspires other councils to do the same.
It's a triple win for the environment - less waste - for the community - affordable bikes - and for the economy - employment. ...
OnYahbike's (aka Mobike) recent bankruptcy and liquidator inaction have resulted in hundreds of orange share bikes being abandoned in Sydney’s streets.
With their geolocation tracking system deactivated, it's difficult to find them and remove them because they are all locked and require special tools. Many of them are in poor condition too.
Luckily, they are starting to find their way to our recycling business. Many more brand new ones are still tucked away in warehouses which we also hope to recuperate and give a new life to.
We support bike share programs as part of an integrated micro mobility model. However, with some form of product stewardship and appropriate regulations, this could have been avoided.
City of Sydney and other bike share operators are now acting together, but state and federal governments could do more. ...
William's story is a good reminder that buying bikes via Gumtree comes with a risk. As he points out, our bikes come with a 6-month warranty and a first service for free.
Drop by on Saturday 10-2, or Mon through Wedn 10-5, to our WheelShow in Alexandria (84 Burrows Rd) to check out our range of redeployed, high-quality, branded mountain, road, and hybrid bikes for between $150 and $350.
And we are always there to take responsibility. ...
Today we are at Badlam Bay Community Garden in Hunters Hill to check and tune your bike till 4pm at no cost. Our first visitor was Anthony Roberts NSW Minister for planning and public places who bought this lovely step through bike.

This is what our founder’s office is looking like right now.
We’re recovering and redeploying dozens of free bikes to kids in need in the upcoming weeks. (The founder is also the Beast’s driver.)
With our partners like Tribal Warrior and AusCycling, kids will be getting rides for learning and for living large in places like: Redfern, Dubbo, outback Queensland, and more.
It’s part of our commitment to bike equity - or working for every kid in Australia to have the joy of a bike in their lives.
You can support this effort by giving us your old rides, by buying our awesome adult rides, or by making a financial donation.

Here are Matt, Jack, Anthony and David who are volunteers for Revolve ReCYCLING. On Monday nights, they repair kids’ bikes 🚲 for us to give for free to disadvantaged kids and refugees kids, including from 🇺🇦. Very nice blokes doing good with their hands, skills and time.
It’s wonderful to see the joy these bikes bring to kids when we deliver them, including our February deliveries in Redfern, Central West NSW and outback Queensland.
We’re close to establishing part of the organisation as a formal charity so we can extend this charitable work. Some great folks joining its Board.
Why not set some awesome goal like 10,000 free kids’ bikes per year? ...
Thank you and all other 1066 people who gave us 3720 bikes so far ...

This is Eddie who donated an old bike to support Revolve Recycling’s mission. He’s a fitness professional in western Sydney and a former professional rugby 🏉 league player. Eddie has fond memories of “spending the whole day on our bikes” growing up in South Auckland and hopes other kids have that same opportunity for fun and freedom. You can help too by donating your unused rides. Thanks Eddie! ...

Did you know that Sydney’s 100 bike shops could be sending up to 50 tonnes per year of used bike tyres and tubes to the tip?
They know it - and they don’t want to do it. So, together with Tyrecycle and the shops, Revolve Recycling has come up with a new solution. We will be collecting the material from participating shops - together with metal and e-waste - and having the tyres and tubes turned into new products like playground padding and road building materials.
It’s part of our new ZERO WASTE service for Sydney’s bike shops - as well as for the used tyres and tubes we collect with the bikes we get from households and Councils. There’s some 10,000 tonnes of material or 14 million tyre and tube units out there waiting on a new life - including this container at our Alexandria WheelShop.

Over the break, we thought about what’s the emotion, or characteristic, or value that we want Revolve Recycling to most represent.
It’s kindness.
To the planet by saving bikes from landfill.
To kids who need bikes.
To each other, our partners and our clients.
To those who share our journeys.
Bikes are kinda kindness machines. (Ha ha.)
How can you put your kindness machine to use today?
